DAY ONE

• Choose a topic that you want to write about. Make it something that you are interested in writing about!
• Your topic should be non-fiction.
• It should be a narrative, persuasive, entertaining, problem-solution, etc. type of essay.
• Come up with an idea by Day 2!

DAY TWO

• Use one of these graphic organizers to plan your paper.

DAY THREE

• Paper must be at least 25 sentences and five paragraphs. Your goal is to be done with your first two paragraphs.

• cheating
• drop-out rate
• online classes/alternative education
• any other topic approved by the teacher

• Template from animation factory
• Title slide
• Four informational slides
• Conclusion slide
• clip art or animation on each slide
• one slide animated with words, clip art, title coming in separately
• transitions
• a quality argument with support
• good speaking techniques like volume, speaking clearly, varying volume and tone of voice
• do not read directly from slide
• prepare speaker's notes

DAY THREE

• Today you should try to complete your title slide and one informational slide.

• Pair up with someone from the class. Spend five minutes interviewing that person to find out interesting facts about them Then switch and let them interview you.
• Write a one minute speech introducing the person you interviewed and share it with the class.
